I called today and we are APPROVED!!!! It was on August 10, 2007!! Thanks Daniel so much for the advice on calling even when my case still said pending online... I am soooo happy that we are finally out of CSC!!!

Well..I rang up USCIS/CSC again today to find out EXACTLY what the heck was going on with our NOA2. The gentleman said that it had been approved as of YESTERDAY...

I said WHOAAA...hang on...I was told almost 2 weeks ago that we had been approved but because of a goof up, someone sent it to the NVC without updating the system or even sending out the NOA2. I had confirmed this the 2nd time I called and inquired about it. The gentleman today looked and said...if this was the case..and if I had been approved prior..they had deleted all the information (HOW BLOODY CONVENIENT ). But he said that the system hasn't been updated yet, but my NOA2 was mailed out to me yesterday. SOOOO I will believe it when I see it in my hands.

And I flat out asked him..do you guys need help out there? I'd gladly move from Ohio to California to process the backlog...if they are willing to pay for relocation

That is a mess! arghhhh i'd be so furious! Sorry it had to happen to you guys but at least you called them again and found out the real status. You should be getting your approval notice soon. Well, I guess they really need help over there!!!

A brief update on my April 24th NOA-1.............Talked to CSC (via RFE trick) this morning 8-15-07,.........She said my case was in a status called: "FILE IN TRANSIT".
She said this means my case is in transit from the pile on the shelf to an "Officer". They suggested I keep an eye on the case, as the Officer will probably make a decision soon. She said the transition from "FILE IN TRANSIT" to DECISION is typically 2 or 3 days.
I hope this heads-up will give the remaining April filers some hope.

4-13-07 mailed I129-F to CSC
4-24-07 receipt notice (on back of check) no hard-copy NOA1
waiting, waiting
8-15-07 told the case status was: "FILE IN TRANSFER" (on it's way to an Officer)
They said we should have a decision within 3 days

I can live with this information, but I'm NOT holding my breath ...........

It's been a long wait but now it all seems worth it

I followed MaRob's lead by calling yesterday (RFE) and was told i had been moved to the "FILE IN TRANSIT" status. Three hours later, I noticed a touch. I assume this came from the phone call. However, I got ANOTHER TOUCH this morning !!!! After sooooooo long (NOA1-Apr 24th) I finally see some activity on my case. Obviously, I'm encouraged, and hope to join all of you NOA2ers SOON !! Congratulations!!! finally!! You know, but I do wonder how long it is going to take all those people who tried to get their petitions in before the fee increase... it has been a month for some since they mailed their packets, and their checks haven't even been cashed yet... we might be considered lucky!

It has been quiet here now unlike the past weeks. That means good news for most of us april filers!

Well I'm not sure if you can count me in as an April filer because I filed back in March, but most of you know my situation. I sent my RFE August 13, the same day I received the RFE in the mail and until now I haven't heard anything if they have received it. I will call today let you guys know and I do hope I will get someone very helpful over the phone. Thank you and please continue to pray for me.

Firstly, congrats to everyone who's gotten approved! I've been MIA latley because of work issues.

I haven't called the NVC yet TODAY but they keep telling me they haven't recieved it. It's been more than two weeks! Is that REALLY normal?! Come on lazy postman ;_;

Of course this is just my opinion but I would guess they do have it. I forget who but, there have been some people already that were told the same thing. Then all of a sudden they get the NVC email saying it has been forwarded to the embassy.

The whole process is flawed some people are informed in a timely fashion while others are not.

Keep checking and let us know when you hear something.

I'm still waiting, although I hold out hope it's been completed and sent and they just aren't updating online. I've called the last 2 Fridays and they tell me it's assigned but nothing else, so hopefully it's been done and by the time I hear about it they will have already got it through NVC and it's on it's way to Prague.

Ha ha, ok, I finally broke down and called USCIS again, the third Friday in a row, and they told me we were approved on August 14th! I'm excited, but based on some of the misinformation received from my fellow April filers I am a little bit cautious, but, oh, forget it, I'm excited, I refuse to be cautious! lol

So, it appears I can now join the NOA2 club!

Thank you Wioombeen and Jessel Chris, we received our NOA2 in the mail so it's official! Such a relief to get through the first and longest portion of this process. Strange to think the interview possibly could be a month away.

Unless there is something specific about Slovakia the ensures an early then you on average have about 2 1/2 to 4 months to the interview after your NOA2 receipt date.

Has any April filer not received their NOA1 hard copy and but has received their NOA2? I filed early May and still
do not have the Hard copy of the NOA1...I have called three times...still no NOA1 Hard Copy...I just want to make sure that not receiving this piece of paper is not an issue...thanks.......

We didn't receive the hard copy of NOA1 either but the check was cashed and from there you can trace your "receipt number" which starts with 3 letters, don't worry it happens cause of the backlogged....

So sorry to hear about your RFE kits, here's hoping that you'll get your NOA2 very soon! Hang in there! Maybe you'll have better luck with NVC, coz even though we have our NOA2, some of us don't seem to have any luck with NVC, they still don't have our petitions yet!

thanks guys.. I will try and call again today to get any info.. I think I should have heard from them by now since it's an RFE.. I'm actually waiting for the update where it will say RFE RECEIVED AND PROCESS HAS RESUME.. I looked at other vjs timelines with RFEs and after 7 days of sending it they get an update and took about a week or two to get their noa2.. but so far I don't have an update.. i'll keep you guys posted..

Hey Kits...the thread is not dead. You are not alone. You can always email me if you have a question. I don't check the thread as often, busy with other steps. Stay strong... the process does work...but never as fast as we want. Wishing you and others waiting a speedy approval.

Hi Rambaldi...jeez still no NVC? But 3 weeks to NVC is better than the 3+ months at CSC. Should be any day for you. The whole process is inconsistent.

Hey Tom, yeah still no NVC. Though we only used the NVC automated system, and didn't talk to the operator. Entered our WAC receipt no, and all we got was:

"We have no record of your case here. You have either entered an incorrect receipt no, or your case is still not received by us."

I just want to know though, is the NVC automated system reliable? What's the difference between the automated system versus talking to a real person? Anybody?

I called NVC and talked to a person about 3 times. I got good information from people I talked to. I tried to keep it short, never used the automated system. If it has been 3 weeks I would suggest talking to a person. Good luck. TT

I've read somewhere that the automated system don't support K1 applicants, try to stay on the line for some few minutes to wait for the customer rep......whats funny about NVC is that my fiance received the letter from them and and on the same day I called NVC and they said that my case was not there yet .....

Yes, what skyblue said. Ive also read that K!'s dont stay there long enough to get put into the system. To check the status you have to call and speak to someone.
