I know i was shocked.

Once your approved from the USCIS you won't receive anymore touches or get anymore emails. the NVC is separate from them. Just kep calling the nvc until they can give you a case number.

Well skyblue, you and I have the same NOA1 date, and you already have your NOA2 while I am still waiting for mine, so God can't be being that unfair to you

Yeah i called them. Press 1 then 5 for a real person. You cannot use the automated system. K-1's do not show up in there. You need to talk to a real person. I called twice, once after 1 week after my NOA2 date, for the NVC received date then I waited a week then called again for the sent date and the new case number. Keep us posted on what you find out.

wow! great news Wiombeen! your case is really moving quickly from NVC to USEM. you're almost at the finish line...in just less than 2 months! happy for you!

Yesterday I was at the USE of Manila website. and I noticed this feature called Visa point. It is an online interview appointment scheduler. So I sign up for it thinking WOW maybe this is part of the new system with the fee increases. It costs me $10 USD non-refundable. After it takes my payment it then tells me that K-1 visas are not handled by this system and I will have to wait for the USE to schedule it.

I write them another one of my famous angry letters about how it's a nice scam they have going there taking peoples money then telling them they can't help you and such, and that I would love to legally be able to run a business like that in the US. They respond the same day(which is amazing for them haha) telling me that they are sorry about my experience with the Visa Point and they will look into the matter.

A few hours later I get my interview date.

So is this a coincidence? Or did this interaction have anything to do with it? From what I read I shouldn't get a interview date until packet three arrives and is sent back. Not that I'm complaining hahah really. Just wondering if you think it was just a coincidence or did that complaint letter have anything to do with my early date.

haha, I think If my fiance didn't complain and didn't talk blunt with the Customer rep when he called I bet until now we don't have our NOA2! I think we should follow Wioombeens way, it did work but with NVC there's no way to push them......I'm waiting for Wioombeen to tell us what his trick hehehe

Wioombeen - you are a legend. Knowing that you waited for 2-3 years before you could even start this visa process, I can see why you are so driven to make it happen. Always makes me smile to read about your latest conquests.

As for us ... still waiting.

Fiance was unable to speak with a real human at NVC (said all operators were unavailable,) so we have no idea where our case is currently, though my guess is en route to Vancouver. Hopefully, something next week - I'm chomping at the bit.

No really though there is no trick for what happened at the NVC. Simply luck. But also i think there is a good chance that your petition could have already cleared the NVC without hearing anything about it. It has happend so often in both the USCIS and the NVC. Some people don't hear anything until they get packet three. While others get NOA2 without ever receiving their NOA1. So it is really hard to know exactly.

All I did with the NVC is call twice. Once 7 days after my NOA2 email, and they told me they had received it. They told me that you cannot use the automated system to check on K-1 visas since they do not sit for very long at the NVC.(So make sure when your calling to talk to a real person. Press 1 then 5.) She told me that most petitions don't stay longer than 5 days at the NVC. Then I called 5 days later for the second time and they informed me it had been forwarded to Manila and gave me my new case number MNLXXXXXXXXXX.

Both calls the people I spoke with were very kind and very helpful. After that is the the story in the above post.

I just don't know how to feel at the moment....and I don't know what to believe to be honest...I was sooo happy the other day when we were told on the phone that we've been approved...and then..well...CLICK HERE.

The second time I called was actually about 15 calls in a row. I just called spammed the redial until someone answered.

SO if I understand you...... they sent your approved petition to the NVC without updating their system at all so you never received your NOA2 nor does the USCIS have any record of your approval so you would not at this point ever get one? and essentially as far as the NVC would be concerned your name is not in the system. So now they have to mail your petition back to the USCIS to correct the mistake? then ship it yet again back to the NVC? or will the NVC once they get it simply notify them of your information on the petition so they can update the system that way?

yep..that about sums it up apparently the gentleman said he would just request the information to update the system...he said it may take an extra 1-2 weeks..just what i wanted to do was wait longer!

Well let's just hope its only one week or less. A lot of time they give a longer wait time to cover their butts.

Sorry to hear that! I hope you wouldn't have to wait any longer than 2 weeks. My gosh! I just hope that ours won't go through the same thing. We never got a status update but we did get the hard copy in the mail. Never tried calling CSC too. I'm praying that it will get to NVC quick!

Well, this is interesting. Our status still hasn't been updated on the USCIS site either and they haven't emailed us. The only difference with our case is that we received the NOA2 hard copy.
The bad thing about this is that NVC won't give me any info if I call, so we have to wait until Mel gets here next week.

Mel and Daniel, I guess they really forgot to update our cases and probably we had the same officer! ha! I might ask my fiancé to call NVC next week and see if there's progress. Keep us posted with yours too!

Congrats Man!! That is SUPER fast for Manila I see the average for Phil Fiancees is around 120 days for that interview. Awesome!

Just curious, how many days did you give NVC before calling them?

I waited 7 days to call the first time.

she told me the date it had arrived and also told me that most cases don't stay at the NVC for more than 5 days.

so I waited 5 days after the date she gave me that it had arrived and he told me that it had been forwarded to the USE.

If you call and it says, "all operators are busy please call back later". Make later immediately, then wash, rinse, repeat until you get someone on the line. Took me 15-ish attempts my second time calling to get though.

We are still waiting too... i called on the 7th.. got touched on the 8th and 9th, and then again on the 10th and 12th... could these be legitimate touches??? I am so ready to be done with CSC... Give me my NOA2 Jerks!!

I bet they are very legitimate! I got touches and it was our NOA 2, NVC, ect.. My fiancee has her interview next week, but the USCIS website still says pending! Good luck

Our dates are identical. I'm in California, so i filed at the CSC. No activity on my case......No emails, no hard copy NOA1, no status change, no touches. Glad to see u have some activity (touches), this is encouraging for BOTH of us
The "Time Line" page, here on VJ, has moved my expected date back 4 times in the past week. Now says to expect action by the 25th
5 steps forward, then 4 steps back....hahahahahaha. Based on your touches, I assume u are in front of me. I'll be watching and hoping for your success.

I'm trying to contact NVC right now (on hold). As of Friday they said they hadn't received my petition yet. Tomorrow will be two weeks since my NOA2. This is discouraging if they really haven't even received my petition and it's been two weeks. Although on Friday the lady I spoke to said that they COULD have it but it wasn't in the computer yet. THEN gave me the same line of "call back in a month to check on it". Ya, I've been waiting nearly five months- like I'm going to wait another month without knowing ANYTHING about my case.

Good Luck Brian and Jing... I had no emails, no touches, no NOA1 hard copy either... I actually called on the 7th using the RFE trick, and all I asked was if there was any progress on my case, when the man said no, I asked if it was even assigned yet.. after looking for a minute, he said, 'no it has not been assigned yet'... GAH!! so i looked the next two days to see the typical touches.. got those.. and then to my surprise I got touched on the 10th and the 12th also... hmmm... a sunday... so i am going to call tomorrow again and see whats up.. maybe my phone call encouraged some action!! maybe you guys should think about calling just to check... Good luck again!

I got a text from my fiancé telling me to come online before I go to work this morning. I came on and it sucks because internet connection was real bad, I suddenly disconnected. Luckily, 10 minutes before I go to work I was connected. My fiancé worries me because he tells me bad news about CSC but he was kinda joking. Actually, he called CSC this afternoon and thank God an Angel named Mrs. Le was real nice. My fiancé complained about the RFE letter and he let Mrs. Le check our papers again because as far as we know we don’t sent any papers that are foreign and we sent it all right and gladly Mrs. Le called back and telling my fiancé that she found our papers and telling us the good news that she will tell the head officer that there’s nothing wrong with our papers and she said we are APPROVED!!!!! They will update our status online maybe this week or next week….

We are so happy and we thank God so much that we are now APPROVED!!!!!

BUT... Maybe good you follow up in a day or so. It's not that I don't trust them, I'd just hate to see you guys so happy and then find out they actually ddint do anything and they were still waiting for your to take action....
