We applied for my fiance's SSN on 3/26 and it was delivered on 3/31!
The card itself was mailed on 3/29 - so it only took 3 days for the SSA office to mail it out. That's really exciting. I feel much better now - like he's settling in.

Congratulations!

I was really excited to read this then see that you are in Orlando! So did you go downtown to apply in person? That is what I am planning on doing when my fiance gets here.

Hey, Congrats!

But I am a little confused to hear that you can get an SSN in *three* days!!! The VJ timeline for EAD shows that it takes an average of 90 days and I have also applied for my SSN about a month ago (K3), and I am yet to even do my finger printing. So it's a little puzzling. Can someone explain what I'm missing?

Thanks.

Oops, ignore my previous post. I misread the thread title like it's meant for EAD. I guess everything I looks like EAD since I'm desperate to get one.
