My fiance interviewed on March 26 They asked him usual questions , and seemed satisfied. Only then they asked him about his birth certificate and why it was issued only a few months ago. He explained they dont nec. issue them in Pakistan when ur born, his parents never got one for him . etc. And his brother went to the govt place and got it issued for himHowever before that he saw a pink paper next to the man, who was very nice to him, that said visa suspened. after questions the man handed him his passport and said ur visa appl. is suspended untill we finish "additional administrative processing" and we will call u within 4 to 6 weeks and u can then send ur passport and we will send it back with ur visa. On the paper it stated under 221 G ... and then checked other and said Additional Administrative processing needed. Does anyone know what this means? Pleae help. Im still stressing...

also I want to add interview was in LONDON UK

Try this thread, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3896. There is a member Kiya who has helped many people who received the 221G. Maybe you can contact her and get additional help.

Good Luck

There seems to be a lot of people going through A/P or A/R these days. I think in the case of many coming from Muslim countries they want to check his name and his close family names against any lists they have of known terrorists and once that is done you will have your visa.

A/P is tough in that all you can do is sit and wait. There is no way to get information about your case or to find out when it might be approved. Good luck and I hope your delay is a short one.

I dont know what exaclty that means and I hope that the link given to you will help. My brother applied for a Canadian visa recently for a Caregiver program and he kinda had something like that. After the interview, he's been waiting ang going crazy for 2 months while they were "checking" stuff. He got approved 'till the end so I assume it's just a careful check of whether or not the information submitted is truthful

I have never heard of that combination not resulting in AP/AR.

Basically security checks, usual time line seems to be a couple of months, they can be a lot longer especially if you go through Islamabad.

Nothing you can do about it but wait.

This is routine for SO males from this part of the globe. I would not let it worry you much. Just relax and wait it out

It's annoying when you answered everything honestly but to only get visa pending in the end. It's very depressing. I think you could call the embassy once and a while to check if they're done with AR and if possible to get info what in the world was the AR for in your case.

Merijan's fiance got an email from the Embassy on Saturday early morning, asking him to send in his passport and they will give the visa.

Merijan, please fill in your Timeline and Forum Signature so all know that you received the VISA! Being only 3-4 days in AP, I think that is the shortest ever! CONGRATS!!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif good.gif timeline.gif
