Hello,
This is way down the line for me but I just wanted to know for future reference.
When I had my medical, when I was asked have I ever been to hospital, i said "yeah, when I came home from a night club and a couple of hours later i was being sick with a fever my parents took me to hospital to see if my drink had been spiked, tests showed it hadnt, it was probably the dodgy burger from the van i had afterwards"
Im not sure if the doc even made a note of this but will this look bad further down the road?
Im pretty sure the answer would be "no", but so far nothing has surprised me.
Thanks
Teddy.

I do believe that every person born in a hospital would have to say yes to that question. I think the question was just for checking your medical background. Don't sweat over being in the hospital if it was a mental or prison hospital I would worry a bit but nothing more than that. I'm sure the doctor wouldn't waste any time reporting what you went through as it was more of a discomfort than a disease.

Exactly. I think the question is more about your medical history, that way they can know if you've been admitted due to a medical condition or a major accident that can currently cause you any problems.

The answer is no...followed by why would it?
(Although I'm curious, I'm not sure I want to know what a dodgy burger is...

one that's not quite fully cooked???? just a guess
to the OP: I personally wouldn't worry about that hospital visit, many of us have had hospital stays of one month or more and got through the medical ok.

No you have nothing to worry about. They're looking for things like criminal records, if you've robbed a bank or drove a transport truck through a crowd of protesters at full speed or started up your own drug lab in your office at work etc...

Dodgy burger is a burger from the type of places that give England it's reputation for bad food! You only ever eat one after you have a drink or two because you'd never order something from their with a clear head!
