hi all:

hubby living in france, waiting for NOA2 from CSC on I-130.

Q:

if he moved to mexico, to be closer to me, could we process visa app & waivers in france, and just travel back for interview...

or

if he moved to mexico, could we just process altogether in mexico (CDJ)?

i at least want to know if he can live near me while we process somewhere! france is just too damn far away!!!!! help!! helpsmilie.gif

Thanks VJ'ers!

I found this topic that someone posted here not too long ago about changing interview locations, I hope it helps: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry799628

FYI, the wait, after NVC, for an immigrant visa interview in CDJ is around 12 months, currently.
If you need waivers, you might be better off at 'home' for those reasons.

We did a 3rd country process.. typically the Consulate requires you to have 6+months forward legal stay--don't know how hard it would be to get the FM-2 or FM-3 in Mexico for your husband.

FYI out there, I checked CDJ and they only accept Third-Country Nationals for on-immigrant visas. My guy is an immigrant visa applicant. sad.gif

Claudia my friend,

Being a Mexican citizen myself, I thought about the same thing... we live in Canada and thought HEY!!!! Let's move to sunny Mexico until this DCF stuff is resolved.... well, if you check out the MExican consulates requirements for moving your hubby with you you would be amazed at how errrr.... malditos they are.... my best advise is hang in there sweetie. IF I can help on anything (even on Spanish rantings, which usually help releive one's chest), email me through my VJ profile amiga!!!!

Saludos, Len.
