Hi,
I am a us citizen, and would like to bring my sister here. I know that i can apply for her GC, but that will take about 12 years before she can come here. I was wondering if there is any other way to get her here. I have heard that many people apply for work visa, but am not quite sure how that works. any help or advice is appreciated.

Best bet if she works for a Company with US operations is to seek a transfer.

What does she do, what are her qualifications?

You can read all about employment based visas here:

She can also try to come with a tourist visa. It could be a long shot, but you never know.

Visit but not stay on that type of visa.

Really? Do you know her nationality?

But OP did not suggest that she wanted to visit, want to immigrate by the sound of it.

She has an associate degree in mathematics. She currently works for an engineering consulting firm, but the firm doesn't have US operation.

No obvious route, an associates degree will not cut it without many years of work experience. And finding an Employer to sponsor her would be difficult unless she has specific skills/knowledge which are in demand in the US.
