Yay! I'm glad it went well.

It's funny how easy it is to do something so life-changing as getting married, but so incredibly difficult to do everything else. tongue.gif

Ok, you've officially signed up for a loooooooooonnnngggg journey with the USCIS... or NOT. Maybe you will be forwarded to CSC.

In Florida you can't get married right away unless you've taken a pre-marital course. Otherwise you have to wait 3 days. Then the license is good for up to 60 days. We're getting married at the end of April so it works out fine.
It's exciting!!! We've been through so much, getting the SSN and license were the easy parts wink.gif

CONGRATULATIONS!

Where did you go for the Florida ID? I assume that's because you can't do the drivers license yet?

We went to the DMV. My fiance didn't have a driver's license in Brazil so he has to get it here. He knows how to drive (although he's not too experienced) but he has to get his learner's permit then license.

He's studying for the permit now but they only have study books in Spanish and English. Although he doesn't really know Spanish he's able to understand the book. (Portuguese is close enough). Once he's confident he can take the permit test. It will only be valid through June (the 90-day mark from the visa) but we're getting married in April so things will change I know. `

If one of the parties is not a state resident, you don't have the wait time either. Would have made my life hella easier if my husband hadn't been living here and could have used that.
