I'm ready to send the fee but want to make sure its still $70. Anyone paid this recently?

yep, for those with the same question, just called NVC and they confirmed the fee of $70.

yes it is a70 dollars but PLEASE DON T SEND THEM ANY PAYMENT UNTILL YOU GET AN INVOICE this is very important ...i sent mine 03/06/2007 I got a letter from them telling me to pay and how and to who and also provide me with a sheet of paper that must be send back with the cashiers check

I just last month sent it in with my "self generated" invoice and a $70 USPS money order. It was processed immediately. Saved a lot of time. Using all of James Shortcuts should save at least 2 months processing time by completion.
However, I did have a "slight" problem with the Barcode Cover Sheet end result being quite smaller than the one I eventually received from NVC - not quite sure what the problem is with the final Word for Windows adjustment.

I will use the official barcode from the I-864 at the end of the sheet and "blank out" the rest of the page before I run the (mostly blank) sheet through my inkjet with the rest of the information in the Word document to be printed above the bar code for the DS-230 "Cover Sheet". The "end result" should be exactly what I will eventually receive from NVC.
