She interviewed at the US Consolate in Ethiopia, and left with a visa. Wow. I can't believe it. You know, this process has been quite a ride. When we started, I felt we would learn all about how it works, and then be fine. It wasn't like that. Every step of the way I'm unsure about whether I really did the forms right, the information they want, the letters, etc. So I look back, and I guess it worked because she has a visa, but it's still this murky world I don't understand completely. I guess that's why they call it Visa Journey, huh?

Anyway, Amsale will come here to the US in a month or so and our journey continues with the marriage, change of status and all the rest. But for today, we're just happy, and excited, and releived, and on top of the world. My sweetie got her visa!
