Hi I have 2 quick questions:

1. My fiance (now wife) came here on a K1 visa and we got married we are now feeling for adj of status and I was just wondering on all the forms do we put her original family name (Park) or her legal name now that we are married (baumann)?

2. in the adj of status thread it said to have a copy of the noa2 approval letter. I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly this is. I have a letter that says something to the effect of .. the state dept national visa center has recently recieved an approved i-129f petition filed on behalf of your fiance. this letter will be forward in a week to the appropriate visa issuing post-is this the letter they are talking about??? If not where do I get a copy of this letter?

Plz let me know ASAP. Thank you!!!

Yes I believe the noa2 is the approval letter you are referring to. That's the one you include when you are filing for your AOS.

NOA 2 is a document that looks a bit like a certificate and says 'I-797 Notice of Action' in the upper right hand corner.

It 'looks' just like your NOA1 but the verbiage is different.

You can enter her legal married name. Her maiden name will be entered in "other names used".

We never received a NOA2 either. All I did was submit a copy of the NVC letter you mention above along with copies of our correspondence attempting to obtain the NOA2, and included a written explanation. So far, it doesn't seem to have been a problem.
