Anyway, I was just curious about how other people cope with the time differences. So?

Marcos and I have 7 hours difference between us. Usually we are able to chat early morning (or talk using Yahoo, since he is not currently working) and then again before he goes to bed at midnight for him and before dinner for us! I just want to say that we get a lot of time to talk and it's becuase of yahoo.. we call computer to computer and can talk for free (on the weekends we talk for HOURS smile.gif ) He is also able to call me for 1penny a minute on my cell phone using yahoo too. In addition there are text messages and e-mails (though rare from him LOL) It has been such a blessing!! We are in commuication most of the time heart.gif

Him being in California and me being in central Europe, we have 9 hours in between us.

Apart from the obvious down side of not being together crying.gif , this time difference works good for me as we can communicate in the morning and in the evening my time. I'm not distracted too much from work and studies during the day. On the other hand, I always bug him at work whistling.gif , but he doesn't mind at all (of course).

I was so confused during the past two weeks when the USA changed to Daylight Savings Time while Europe kept the winter time until last night. We had an 8-hour difference and I didn't like it at all, I never caught him up in the evening (his) when I woke up in the morning (mine)...

Anyway, I was just curious about how other people cope with the time differences. So?

Since daylight savings time, there is an hour difference. In the winter it's the same time both places.

Zee Bee
4 or 5 depending on daylight savings...right now it is 4.

Counting the days until I don't have to worry about that anymore yes.gif

5 hours - I'm in England, my fiance is in Maryland. It drives me nuts! I usually call him before he goes to work which is 6am his time and 11am my time and then he calls me when he gets home from work which is 7pm his time and 12am my time... Bit of a pain in the arse when I have to get up for work at 6am though!

But only 2 weeks to go kicking.gif kicking.gif

14 hours, 8,400+ miles............

He's 9 hours and 45 minutes ahead of me during daylight savings time, 10:45 during standard time. What is so crazy about Nepal is they are right above India but are 15 minutes ahead(or behind, I forget)... They never have Nepali time on any of those computer clock settings, like for my smilies - Nepal doesn't get any respect... protest6wz.gif
KitEEgirl
7 longggggg hours...

Poor guy though.. he half sleep deprives himself so we can talk...
PlatyPius
Mags being in the bedroom and me being in the office, there's about 6 seconds between us....
Eresh

Scott & Lai

cdneh
Well...it is only 8 hours later there than it is here...but thanks to the dateline it is an entirely different day . I won't even get into the summer there winter here thing.

He waits up...so when I get home from work it is 0300 where he is ..and he is there waiting all the same heart.gif
Alex & Rachel
8 hours for us - which actually works out very nicely. smile.gif Alex works a late afternoon/evening shift, so he goes to work just as I am about ready to go to bed. We chat for a couple of hours beforehand (8-10 pm for me, midday-2 pm for him).

Dont have a time differance anymore, had 7 though and it that was pretty tough.
LoriLawless
Time difference is one of the hardest things about this. We're 5 hours apart, but it could be worse!
