As it looks, then I'll be moving over to the US in 4 months.

Has anyone here gone through this and have tips on cheap and in danish "pålidelig" company that can take care of transporting my Less-than-container load(one pallet plus cupboard) from DK to the east coast?

How exact do I have to be with documentary attachments, which customs forms and etc.?

Added afterwards: With documentary evidents I mean list of contents for the boxes, list of serial numbers for electronics and other fun stuff that customs agents on both sides of the ocean might be interested in.

We moved 60 cubic feet from the UK to the US (17 boxes) so I can't give you a company name. But I found the customs forms a lot less detailed than I thought they might be. If you have owned & used the goods for greater than 1 year, you don't need much info. Our removal firm (moving company) labeled boxes and filled out inventory sheet with very vague info such as: "books," "CDs & DVDs," "china & glassware," etc. Nothing was opened by customs (US arrival) but they did charge us $22 to xray shipment. The one thing that might be different is that I (the USC) was the shipper of the goods. My husband did not have his visa yet so he was not allowed to ship his household gods to the US. I don't know if customs treats shipments from non-USC differently.
