Hello everyone,

I am looking for some info on kids visas

1)Does a 6 year old become a citizen on entree to the USA?
2)When i married my wife there was no father on the birth certificate or in my daughters life. After the weading I signed a book with a lawyer and my name was added to the birth certificate. does this count as an adoption?

any info would be appreciated thanks

jeremy,

1) No.
2) Ask the lawyer. And if it is an adoption under the laws of the place where it happened, and it wasn't a US lawyer who did the work for you, ask a family lawyer in your state if that adoption is recognized here in the USA.

1. Nope, but could attain citizenship if one of the parents is a USC.
2. No idea, you would have to talk to a lawyer about that.
