Hello to all! I joined this site a while ago, but I am happy to say I have sent my application in for the K1 Visa. The VSC received my package on March 11, and I have not received my NOA1, stating they received my application. I know that I am probably a little to anxious to know that they have started on my petition, but how long does it usually take to receive the NOA1? Also I was just reading someones wonderful story how they were going to pick up their fiancee at a US airport. Do I need to go to my Fiancee's country and come back with her, or am I able to meet her at an airport in the US? It surely would save some money, and I would rather use my vacation days for after she gets here to spend time with her. Thanks for all the help!

You can try a timeline search on your service center and also on your embassy to get a feel of what others have been experiencing.

It isn't a requirement to fly to the U.S. with the beneficiary but many have elected to attend the interview and then fly back to the U.S. with their fiance(e) once the visa is issued. I did not, Claudeth flew here by herself.

Good luck

In high fraud risk countries like Peru it is an unwritten rule that the US spouse or fiancee appear with the visa seeker to substantiate the relationship....in the case of a CR1 the visa will be denied if the US citizen does not attend

You may want to post this in the "Asia" or K1 forum.
So you have been approved by USCIS and your info is now at the NVC? A timeline would help to be able to accurately answer.
Best Regards
