I read about the W7 or W9 ( forget the number) somewhere, to register to pay taxes. If I can hope to have an EAD or AOS within another month or so, should I apply now? Should I do it before I start to work?

thanks in advance

You do this form with your employer, so that they know how much to withhold of your pay towards taxes. Once you are employed they will give you the W9 to fill out, and return to them, and they take care of the rest smile.gif

The W7 is only needed if you don't have an SSN and need to file taxes with an ITIN. Since you already have an SSN, it isn't an issue.

You are talking about the W4 ... the OP is asking about W7
