Has anyone stayed at the Best Western? It has some good reviews. Looking for a place to stay while at the interview. The bayview gets really lousy remarks so definately not staying there. We are on a budget so cant spend more than 55 a night. Thanks.

The Miramar gets fully booked a month ahead, though, so best book ASAP if you're staying there. They're advertising rooms for 1,910 pesos a night too (it's on a sign right above their entryway, I think), so that'd be something to look into.

I stayed at the Bayview, and it was okay. The only real complaint that I have is the rudeness of that frontdesk guy. And if one has to be picky, bathroom fixtures could use some spiffing up. But otherwise, it was a great stay for me. My room was way up, so there was no traffic noise, and so it was as restful as a night-before-the-interview could be. But! If you've decided against staying there, I won't try to change your mind. Just wishing you luck on your hunt. I hear that Best Western is good, too, just sans a pool and gym.

Best western hotel i will recommend that because way back 1996 I went there for my JOT . They have a good standard and clean too.

A lot can change in 10 years in Ermita, Metro-Manila.
There are many hotels near the U.S. Embassy in Ermita along Roxas Ave.
If you are only dealing with one or two days, then what does it matter?
I stay at Riviera Mansion on Mabini St. primarily because I can park my Pajero (Montero) there, and it is reasonable - but then, I go to Metro-Manila often.
There is another hotel in Quezon City, MM that I like and one near the airport that I also like - just depends.
There are also a lot of small low cost hotels around Ermita that cater to the tourists to the "red light" district there - but they are O.K. if you are on a budget.

This site will help, Precision Reservations, just narrow your search down to Ermita or Malate and you will be within walking distance of the Embassy. I never stayed at the Best Western, but have stayed at the Pan Pacific, Diamond, Hyatt, Exec Plaza, Palms and a few more. Ken & Maria

Rosas Garden Hotel is a nice palce to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.
The rate is about $40 per night with 1 free breakfast.

Boulevard Mansion, its close to embassy and costs less than 40 per night. (between 1650 and 1850 pesos) Make sure you ask for upper floors though (higher than 7th floor) as the lower ones are not as clean for some reason & seem to have lots of defects. But anytime i stayed there above the 10th floor it was really great.

Thanks for all the great info smile.gif I think we decided to stay at the Blvd Mansion. They seem to offer a great monthly rate.
