Hi

Could any please tell me how long will it take if a US citizen (sister) sponsors a Canadian citizen (brother) to come to the US.

thanks

Upwards of 7 years, is a limited visa and has to wait for a number to come up.

That type of sponsorship gets the lowest preference.

Hi there,

I believe you would be looking at a wait of 12 - 14 years +++. It took almost 5 years for approval of an American Citizen, my father, to sponsering an unmarried daughter ( which is the highest priority besides wife/husband. or parents) and they are working on May of 2001 and my date is July 2002, and no it does not move at a one month to one month rate. Sorry for the unpleasant news.

Hi Carslo

I know its a hell of long wait to say the least and it is quite disappointing. Anyway thanks for taking the time and good luck with your case.
