Well of course you do, that explains how you’re an expert
I’m not “cranky” I just don’t appreciate being told something you “hear”, if you’re going to say something back it up with some facts. Do some research on it, make your point. Don’t come at me half cocked with something you heard then cry like a baby when I respond. If you had no interest and didn’t care why post to begin with? Your posting alone showed an undeniable interest. If you really wanted to attack me you’d at least try to find something to attack other than pick at my less than perfect skills with English language. That’s just petty and immature.
I suppose Irelands financial success had nothing to do with decade’s worth of fanatical reform brought on and maintained by successive governments in the Irish Republic? It also had nothing to do with previous & current US administration helping to bring business into the island of Ireland, which happens to work both ways! It also couldn’t have had nothing to do with the various tax incentives that attract inward investment? There’s also the small issue of not draining the Irish economy of massive amounts of funds in order to maintain various “security” operations and wars around the globe and closer to home. Isn’t neutrality a good thing? I’m not saying for a second Ireland didn’t benefit from the EU, of course it did I’m just saying what is there to complain about?
I don’t believe Ireland got special treatment from the European Union, I believe it got the help it needed and badly needed. Ireland has in the past and will again become a net contributor to the EU; I suppose that’s also special treatment? I believe Poland as does many other Eastern European states need assistance and aid from the European Union in order to build their economies, especially after being occupied in the past. If given the chance, like Ireland I believe these countries will become an asset and a contributor to the European Union.
