Have you talked to an immigration lawyer yet? I think that is the best thing you can do for now because being deported and then trying to get back in is different than asking for a visa for the first time.

I'm not sure about Honduras but in Colombia every person who has been deported and wants to come back to the US needs a pardon from the embassy which is not very easy to get.

You need to talk to an immigration lawyer since it looks like your case could have several complications along the way.

Deportation requires a 212 waiver which is filed at the consulate interview after he is denied due to the deportation. The waiver is the equivalent of a "pardon". If he was also illegally present in the US for more than 180 days, you will also need the 601 waiver. Both require a hardship letter from you, proving extreme hardship to you if his visa is ultimately denied and you are forced to relocate permanently to Honduras. As someone else recommended, you'll find help and examples on www.immigrate2us.net.
