Me and my wife jointly filed our I-751 petition recently and sent it out 90 days before expiration of 2 year conditional card. VSC received our package 89 days before expiration. Did we file too soon - I hope not? It's been a week and i haven't heard anything yet and not even seeing the check has been cashed - should i be worried?

Not to worry. As long as you filed no more than 90 days before the GC expiry, you are fine.

I didn't receive my NOA for a month after I sent in my I-751.
