My I-129F was approved on March 1st, and forwarded to NVC. When can I check the status at the NVC? How do I check the status at NVC? How long before it will be sent to the Consulate in Guangzhou? Thanks for the help, Mike & Zhen

Call or Email them:

SEE: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1309.html

It takes about 4 weeks for NVC to process then send to Guangzhou, then it takes Guangzhou 3-4 months to "RECEIVE" the case because they store them for that length of time before entering them into the system at the consulate.

You may want to visit, and join: http://candleforlove.com they know way more about Guangzhou and how to prepare for the wicked interviews there.

I called the NVC this morning, I was told that my K-3 was sent to GUZ 3/15/07! Only 2 weeks! They gave me the GUZ number! Now I must wait for GUZ, but I am getting closer! Thanks, Mike & Zhen biggrin.gif

Be prepared to wait another month or two before receiving your packet. We waited 2 months before getting a call from the embassy confirming the address to which they will mail the packet.

We had the Spring Festival in the middle of it, so this probably set us back 3 weeks or so.
