Hi,

My wife (an LPR) is going to be filing I-130 from Texas. When I checked on the USCIS website, it shows that 1-130 is not being processed by TSC. Can anyone tell me where it will finally land or now does it have to be mailed elswhere. My wife lives in Texas.

Also what will be the next step after mailing the forms and how long will the next step takes.

She will get an acknoledgement. Not a lot will happen until a Visa Number is available.

About 5 years.

Most people get Citizenship first at which point she can upgrade her petition as no visa number is required for the spouse of a Citizen.

Thanks Boiler.

Any idea on how long will it take for her to get an acknowlegement and also if you know if TSC is not processing I-130s according to the USCIS website, where can the application land up.

thanks once again. i really appreciate the prompt reply.

You would receive an acknowledgement or receipt notice (NOA1) after 3 weeks of filing the I-130. If it happens that you lack some of the documents they would send you a letter stating that you have to send the documents that they need.
