Thanks everyone. The waiting is getting crazy. And the spotty phone/internet communication only ramps it up. All the documents are there.

Though this "city of issuance" on her VN passport is a cluster ^%#. She went to the office where she received her passport (in her home town) to ask for the issuing city for the ds-156 and they couldn't (wouldn't) tell her. It's not listed on her passport. So we did 3 separate forms: one blank, on with her town, one with HCMC. That should get her there with the correct, and acceptable version.

Am I stressing and worrying?? You bet I am. But I am keeping the big picture in mind and waiting a few more days.

Of course I begin a two week work trip on Saturday. So I get the news when I'm in a hotel room in Denver. hahahaha

Well, it's not pink. I'm not sure of the color of the paper. I will get scan of the actual document that Linh received later today and will read it all.

From what Linh told me on the phone we need to show some more correspondence from early 2005 and I need a letter from my ex-wife confirming her address.

A minor set back. Keeping the big picture in mind I don't see why this can't be completed within a week or so and off to HCMC with the needed letters.

So we've experienced a minor setback. But the faith is not broken.

Got my ex-wife to agree to compose a letter and provide documentation of her current address and immigration history (she's not a USC, but we met in the US). That was a hurdle I was worried about. I can see where the interviewer wants to be sure this is legit and not just a scam to gain entrance to the US.

The rest should be easy, printing out old e-mails from 2005 (got about 50). So I should be able to get that over to VN next week and she can head back to the Consulate with her blue slip and evidence in tow.
