As many of you can see from my signature timeline, we were very quick to mail out our packet three. it went by ROYAL MAIL....Special Delivery™ Next Day by 1pm.

We have been trying to track it since monday. When the receipt number is entered it says "Sorry, there has been a problem with the reference number you've entered. Please try again"

So finally today my BB spoke to someone from the Royal mail who says it was delivered Monday morning to a PO box, (even though it was not sent to a PO. box) and is awaiting the Embassy to pick it up.
Frankly I find this hard to believe, any thoughts mad.gif crying.gif

Someone else in this forum had exactly the same thing happen only a couple of weeks ago. I'm knackered so my brain isn't working properly...have a check in the forum (maybe back a page or so) and see what you can find cos I can't remember sh!t tonight! LOL

You are likely not going to be able to track packages/parcels sent to any embassy for security reasons.

Call the Embassy and ask if they received it.

We had similar experience when ours was received by the Embassy on Feb. 28. Although Royal Mail initially said it went to a post office box, we were eventually able to get the proof of delivery off the Royal Mail website and it says "American Embassy London 28 Feb 2007 Mailroom." After not showing as received 1 week after it was received, we were able to email the Embassy (subject should be United States). They did reply and indicated that the had received our Packte 3. My earlier post might be the one Mags remembers.

Thanks for your replies. I have a second package of forms ready to go next week if needed. A letter to the Embassy was promptly returned as "deleted". I will sit quietly and hold my horses for the next ten days. Then I will dig out that state Dept. number and start calling them myself.

Try putting "United States" as the subject of the email and they might reply even if you get the delete message (happened that way for us). We have just gotten our appointment by email ... Feb. 28 received by Embassy ... finally recorded as received March 9 ... appointment by email March 15

Thanks
I did put "United states Lnd 2007******" as the subject. But it was an immediate kickback. I am still waiting for a reply. At this moment I just want to know they have it, then I can relax, somewhat.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Same happened with us ... delete message came almost immediately but then about 1 day later got a reply ... don't get discouraged
