Hey, everyone,

I'm new to the site, but I've been following the forum since a while back.
We are sending our i-751 package to VSC, and I was wondering what you think about our evidence. My husband (Green Card holder) and I lived apart for about 10 moths while he was doing his thesis research in San Francisco. So, we had to include some evidence from our visits during that time:

* Explanation letter from my husband for Part 3, item 9 of the I-751 form (other addresses);
* Copy of husband's Permanent Resident Card (front and back);
* Copies of our passports;
* Copy of notice from 2004 AOS interview with Boston District Office Director stating when we should apply for removal of conditions;
* Two original and notarized letters written by U.S.-citizen friends and my parents, attesting to our relationship and marriage;
* Copies of lease agreements from our 2 past Landlords and our current one showing joint occupancy;
* Copies of utility bills from 2004 and 2005 with both our names;
* Copies of change-of-address letter from United States Postal Service from our old addresses in 2005;
* Copies of tax transcripts for jointly-filed 2004 & 2005 income taxes;
* Partial copies of federal and state income tax returns filed jointly for 2004, 2005 & 2006;
* Copy of Power of Attorney from husband to wife from March 2006;
* Copies of our joint checking and savings account statements from Bank of America from 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007;
* Copy of letter from Bank of America stating we hold joint checking and savings accounts with dates they were opened and average balances;
* Copies of our credit cards showing joint accounts;
* Copies of AAA car insurance showing husband as insured driver on wife's car from 2005, 2006 and 2007;
* Copies of our personal checks for rent payments to current Landlord;
* Copies of Cingular Wireless cell phone bills showing we had a joint family plan with them (lists my old phone number and husband number);
* Copies of T-Mobile cell phone bills showing we have a family plan with them (lists both our current cell phone numbers);
* Copies of our driver licenses showing same address;
* Copies of change-of-address letters from the Registry of Motor Vehicles;
* Copies of husband's school transcript listing the courses taken in California during his research;
* Copies of my trip itineraries and airline boarding passes of visits to my husband in California between September 2005 and August 2006;
* Copies of trip itineraries and boarding passes of husband’s visits to wife in Boston during that same period;
* Copies of our itineraries, passport stamps and visa of a vacation we took together to Brazil in April 2006 to visit hubby’s parents and family;
* Copies of miscellaneous mail addressed to either myself or my husband showing same address;
* Copy of a Thanksgiving card and envelop sent by a friend and addressed to both of us;
* Pictures from our wedding in June 2004;
* Pictures from a vacation we took together to Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountains in late 2004;
* Picture of us on Christmas 2005 with my parents and grandparents in NY;
* Pictures of us together in San Francisco during some of my visits in 2006;
* Pictures of our vacation to Brazil in April 2006;
* Pictures of us together during husband’s bike ride from Boston to Cape Cod in September 2006.

Thanks guys!! Any comment is welcome!

Thanks for the comments.
We know it's a huge list, but we are trying to avoid a RFE, and/or an interview.
Now, I'm concerned it's too much evidence, and it will take longer for them to go through the paperwork....
Tammi
That's the longest list I've seen.

* Copies of our passports;

Why? Do you have visa stamps that show common travelling or something similar? Otherwise, leave it out.

* Copy of notice from 2004 AOS interview with Boston District Office Director stating when we should apply for removal of conditions;

Don't send it, except if you're filing late b/c of that. People don't send a copy of the law with their application either.

* Pictures from our wedding in June 2004;

Don't send them, that was for the previous apllication.

* Pictures from a vacation we took together to Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountains in late 2004;
* Picture of us on Christmas 2005 with my parents and grandparents in NY;
* Pictures of us together in San Francisco during some of my visits in 2006;
* Pictures of our vacation to Brazil in April 2006;
* Pictures of us together during husband’s bike ride from Boston to Cape Cod in September 2006.

Send only the pictures with distinguishable background that show you have been together in places far away or with other people like at Christmas.

All in all, a good job.

You made a good point about the AOS letter.
We sent the copies of the passports because they have my visa and stamp to trip to Brazil, and my husband's stamp from Brazilian customs. We decided about the pics from the wedding because on the instructions for the I-751 it says that they want evidence starting from when we got married (therefore,, evidence started with the wedding). Also, we had a nice wedding and we wanted to show it off smile.gif

OH my God! what a huge list, now I am panicked!!

Here is my situation.
I have to go India but the green card expires in May 1st. I am getting all the documents ready and applying for I-751 this saturday.
We plan to go to India in march end april end so we can be back before may 1st.
Hope everything goes good.

how long does it take before they send the form so you can travel?

I have
joint tax return
joint saving account
letter from work showing my husband as the benificary on the life insurance.
Our son's live birth certificate.
2 letter from friends attesting to our relationship.

Application and money order.
I have few questions, I would appreciate it if anyone can answer this.
what ever I have above, is that good enough documents?.
can I also send pictures taken with family at various times?
Can family members like father in law and sister write the letter to attest to relationship and does the letter have to be in detail or just like the example form shown in VJ.
we have joint credit card but the bills are addressed only to me it doesn't show my husband's name?
How do you guys send copies of insurance card (medical) it is seperate for my husband, and my son but they have that through me.

Thank you

It seems to take about little less than four weeks for the NOA to arrive that extends your GC. If you are back before your GC expires, no problem. If you are late, there are two problems:
1. The airline might not let you on the plane - I don't know what to do about that.
2. You cannot show the immigration officer a USCIS document - if you have send your application with a personal check, however, you could use the cashed chedck as proof that you have applied, and the officer should find you in their database.
If the NOA is late, could you ask someone in the US to watch your mailbax and send the NOA to you per fast mail?

Your list of evidence seems sufficient because of the birth certificate. Maybe you could add something about common residence, like a lease and/or copies of your driver licences.

WOW YOU WERE VERY DETAILED..GOOD LUCK.. good.gif good.gif
