Our 129-F (K3) was transfered to the California Service Center.

If you go to the USCIS processing time government site, the California Service Center has a timeline for 129-F for K1's and K-2's but not for K-3's. If you go to the Missouri USCIS National Benefits processing times, it show 129-F for K-3's and K-4's. Does this mean that our K-3 is sitting in a pile at the wrong location? Yes, I realize that the actually processing is done at the NVC and the service centers just doing the approvals but why did it get transferred to California and not an alternate service center if this is the case? Note that California has the longest wait time of all the centers...

Has anyone else wondered this?

All I-129Fs from NE and TX service centers are forwarded to California SC for processing.

Just 'cause.

But that's how it is for everyone - so it isn't odd and your file is in the right place.

Only the California and Vermont service centers are processing the K-1's and K-3's. If you want to estimate your processing time your best bet is to look at others going through the same service center and consulate/embassy. We went through the CSC and it was well under the 90+ day estimate. I think ours was 51 days and I've seen others approved in the same timeframe. Of course, others are past 90 and still waiting. Good luck! good.gif

Only 2 service centers process the I-129F CSC, and VSC.

Your case was sent to the correct location that handles most of the country. CSC also handles cases covered by Texas, and Nebraska centers.

This is normal.

Thank you everyone! Your information is reassuring. It's so hard not to question every detail especially when you hear of cases where something went wrong early and it was not caught. Every day we're apart is seemingly longer than the any when we were together. Guess it's that way for everyone...best wishes for a speedy process for all of you!
