I'm a little confused (it happens easily it seems). When does list of vaccinations shown on the USCIC site apply? Before immigration? In which circumstances? It appears that there are cases where the vaccinations can occur when the person arrives in the US. ????????????

Vaccinations are required for immigrant visas (CR1/IR1) and are not required for non-immigrant visas (ie.. k-1) but are required to be up to date when you adjust status after entry in order to become a permanent resident.

Some US consulates/embassies in foreign countries require several vaccinations to be done prior the Visa Interview... Maybe you can consult the embassy in Colombia?

You should check out the Colombian posts in this section, they have a lot of info that you may need.

The vaccinations needed for Colombians are: TD, Varicela and MMRR. They can get them at the Red Cross about a month before their medical and they can also bring a valid record of them to the US should they need it.
