My wife successfully passed her interview in Islamabad, Pakistan but her case went on AP. If her security clearance is rejected, does the embassy contact my wife directly or do they send some documents to AMEX and AMEX contacts my wife. Thanks.

I don't think that you can appeal this however. The decision on security clearance tends to be final and binding.
