I've decided to take one last trip to Vietnam (Saigon) for a long while and I was wondering if there were some things people would suggest we do to that would help her pass the visa interview?

I'm a Feb. '07 filer, so I plan on bringing a copy of the I-129F packet I filed. Also, since she also has a Passport, I was thinking that we could go to Thailand for a couple days to visit a friend (to show she has traveled outside the country before). Currently, she has never left Vietnam.

Besides the usual trip receipts, anything alse I should do?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on filing the I-129F! While on your trip, enjoy each other's company and take alot of photos. The K1 process is a long process so enjoy each moment that you have with each other.

Yes, definately enjoy the time together. The trip to Thailand is a very good idea, just make sure you don't pay in cash. Pay with a credit card, so you can provide this info at the interview. Also make sure that you have the Engagement Ceremony (Dam Hoi) pictures printed for the interview. Take lots of pics together with friends and family with you.

Remember, enjoy your time together!!!!!

I'm bringing originals she may be asked for:

boarding passes from first trip
hotel registration cards from first trip
tax transcripts maybe (not sure if she needs originals or if I should hold onto them)
certified copy birth certificate, mine

etc.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Good advice, all. We have already had the Dam Hoi last year, so we have more than enough pictures (including professional ones) to last a life time. This will be the first time where we can spend alot of low-stress quality time together.

I had forgotten about the tax info, I'll bring copies of my last three income tax reports.

Congratulations on your filing good.gif I fileld and then went to visit Claudeth so when I got home I had both NOAs waiting plus the letter from the NVC with our case number. I suggest you follow the guide here on VJ, that is what we did. Claudeth did take all my letters and emails and tons of pictures with her to the interview but the officer barely looked at any of them so I have a feeling we were already approved even before her interview. Good luck good.gif
