I AM GETTING CONCERNED HERE...I FILED MY EAD 26 JANUARY, NOA FEB2.
TO THIS DATE MY HUSBAND (IN PORTLAND OR.)HAS NOT RECEIVED A LETTER
FOR MY BIOMETRICS APPT.???
IS THIS NORMAL THAT I HAVE TO WAIT THIS LONG???
I SEE OTHER PEOPLES HISTORY SHOWING IT TAKES ABOUT
AN AVERAGE OF 10 -21 DAYS AFTER...TO DO THE APPT. AT THIS MOMENT I AM
STILL IN CANADA FINISHING UP MY JOB. THE TOLL FREE NUMBER LISTED ON MY
NOA DOES NOT WORK FROM CANADA. I HAVE TRIED DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH
FOR THE USCIS CALIFORNIA LOCAL PHONE NUMBER AND TO NO AVAIL.
I AM TRACKING MY CASE NUMBER AND IT WAS LAST TOUCHED 22 FEB.

ANYBODY GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE???

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Oh, I didn't know that you could apply for the EAD while you were still in Canada, but I don't know much about the K3 process either whistling.gif . Hope you get your Biometrics soon.

Hi Denise,
I filed my EAD March 5th and they booked my biometrics the next day for the 20th. You should look into what happened with yours. When I was in Canada and couldn't use the 800 number my wife made the calls for me. Otherwise have your spouse call the 800 number and ask for a number you can use from outside the U.S., but you should call and see what's happening.

Thanks for your update Tom...by your experience its the way it should be...I do think something is wrong with my case communication! Being in Canada there is no way to get thru to the USISC on their toll free line. My husband is not patient with recordings and phone mail jail.
thanks for you info

Your biometrics appointment is worked into the schedule of your District Office or Sub-Office in the same manner as your interview will be worked into their schedule - by a computer who looks at the case load.

You will receive no email notification of this appointment - only a NOA.

While it may be taking you a bit longer to receive an appointment than others, you are not out of ordinary ranges. A query to the misinformation line should ease your mind as to whether or not a notice might have been sent and lost in the mail.

You don't want to miss the appointment. If you are unwilling to wait a bit longer and see if the notice arrives, ask your husband to develop some patience and insist he make the call.

Tell him to keep trying Denise. Ultimately having the EAD is good for you both. He can try different times of the day as well, early mornings or later in the day.

it was also suggested to make an info pass appt, I think I will do that! as my job will finish at the end of March...at least by then if my delayed appt letter does not appear, I have somebody to talk to face to face!
