Hello All.....

I haven't posted in like....forever.

Anyhow getting ready to submit my I-751 in the next day or so. We have a fairly "thick" package to submit with plety of documents that verify our status.

However, I recently had to to mail my Passport back to Canada as part of my passport renewal and therefore I do not have the passport in my posession currently to phtocopy the pages with my various visas on it.

I don't see this as a big deal since I am including (among other things) a photocopy of my permanent resident card (green card) which as far as I'm concerned supercedes the previous expired visas. Agreed?

Just curious what this forums take is on this predicament. I thought I better post this since someone may have some great last minute advice for us.

Note: I'm submitting approx. 15 pages of proof for USCIS: deed, tax return, financials, (2) afidavits, copy of green card and drivers licenses, utility bills, photos, recent letters, etc. etc, etc.

Thanks for the input gang!

westy,

Why would you want to photocopy the visa pages of your passport for I-751?

Copies of passport pages are not required for I751, so don't worry about not being able to submit this.

It's just another photocopy I know many have included. I realize it's not a requirement (in fact very little is truly REQUIRED). It comes down to one of those cases of weighing out offering the bare minimum (not my choice) but also not wanting to overwhelm the USCIS official that will be reviewing the package.

I can see the visa scan at least being of interest to USCIS since in my package right now NONE of the document I am providing were issued by USCIS except the permanent resident card.

Anyhow....I'm not gonna sweat it.

Wish me luck gang....I'll probably send my package tonight or tomorrow morning.

One last question....did I read that there was an issue using FedEx to deliver to TSC? Since the address is a PO Box? I was planning on using FedEx if possible.

Thanks!

The only reason I could think of now is showing that you have travelled together with the spouse, as shown by the dates on the visa stamps.

Only the US Postal Service can deliver to a PO Box.

Wowsers I guess that answers my question...so we have no other option than to use USPS to deliver this package? I have some concerns with trusting important deliveries to USPS.

westy,

So what that none of the documentation in your submission was issued by the USCIS except for the green card? If you consider that a shortcoming the visas certainly won't address your concern - they were not issued by the USCIS.

What needs to be proved to remove conditions? What do old visas have to do with that?

Yodrak,

You are "majoring on the minors" my friend. Dept. of State has a closer tie to the USCIS than lets say, "Blockbuster Memberships....or Gym Memberships" both of which I have seen listed on VJ as proofs that were used with their i-751.

I fully understand that they have proof of my previous (2) Visas being activated at the tip of their fingers. It's just an effort to make the review process as easy / simplistic as possible for the USCIS reviewer. Would they treat my visa photocopies as fact? Heck no.....I have no doubt they would double / triple check things like this if they needed to.

My I-751 package is complete, thorough and organized. I only posted this question to get some last minute advice on this one photocopy that I'll be omitting before I mail off my package.

My question back to you is.....do you think including this photocopy would harm the review of your I-751? I didn't think so either. It's 1 min of time and in most cases a free photocopy.....2 - 5 cents for those that need to pay for copies.

Hi,
You are not required to send passport's copies for the I 751...It is not required at all.

By the way, You have a good package of evidences there!

good luck!

Good luck, don't worry!!

I used FedEx (I really do trust the USPS and always used them before, but they're way understaffed in my state and mail is really slow). You can't FedEx to the address on the form, but if you go to the USCIS website and look at TSC's page, there's an address for "courier deliveries." That's the one you have to use for FedEx (or UPS or DHL).

My post on it is here:
