It's been a while since I've visited VJ. So first of all, Congratulations to everyone who have received approvals. Secondly, my thoughts and prayers remains with everyone else who are still battling the process.

Question ...

My husband now has his Green Card. We are planning to take a Cruise later this year. Are there any forms he needs to fill out in order to leave and re-enter the United States? Or will his Green Card be enough?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks ... and please allow me to ask a "dumb" question .... BUT the passport issued by his native country is what you are referring to, correct? Not a USA issued passport?

Thanks again!

No. The passport from your native country. You can get in the US and Permanent Resident (green card) line when entering the US at customs.

Going on cruises can be tricky. You might want to doulbe check the entry requirements for the ports that you are visiting. Since he is not a US citizen, and does not have a US passport, he will need visa to enter the other countries if they are required by citizens of the country whose passport he presents.

Entering the US will not be a problem if he has a Green card and valid passport, but entering other countries might unless you get the proper visas.
