My fiace went to his interview on Thursday March 1 and was granted the visa. He should be arriving in the US by the end of March. I guess I will be reading more in the AOS post since I am not exactly sure what is next.

Congrats to you! The next part (AOS) is as equally overwhelming. At least your love will be with you in the US. Make sure that you receive a copy of the medical that was taken in Africa. He will need the medical for the AOS. Good luck! If you have questions about the AOS please send me a message.

I don't have much information about the interview now. He was very prepared for the interview and he went with loads of documentation. So they tried to get him with with irrelevant questions. But I do know that he was asked many questions were odd. He was asked what grade I teach and he said 5th but my employer put 4th grade (because I am teaching 4th this year only). Well, later it was proven by one of my letters that I had taught 5th grade and the interviwer admitted that he noticed the discrepancy but see 5th grade in many of the letters particularly the initial letter that was written in 2001. He also asked my fiance about my father's occupation. My fiance said he did not know because my father had retired prior to 2001. He was asked about brothers and sisters since he read in one of the letters that I am from a large family so he said he has spoken to a few of them and he named them. He says he knows my sister Racquel the best because she lived with me for two of the six years that we have known each other. He asked about wedding plans but my fiance said all of that will depend on this interview and its hard to plan when our future is in God's hand via the American Embassy. They asked if he knew I was married and he said yes a few years before meeting him. My fiance said his interviewer was a white male but he was inquiring but nice.
