We both have pseudo-engagement rings that we both wear on our left hand - they only mean something to us.
He bought us wedding rings and we'll wear them once I see him this week!!!

My ex-husband never wore his wedding ring until I threw his worthless ### out and he was trying to make some sort of gesture of what our marriage meant to him.
It's an important symbol to me because of that. Wes and I ordered ours about four months before our wedding.

I'm currently wearing our gold/garnet/diamond promise ring on my left hand. When he comes here we'll shop for an engagement ring, that he'll surprise me with somehow... and yup, when the civil marriage rolls around we'll both be wearing wedding bands.

yep will do.
In fact, he does already. I had a thumb ring made of bracelet links that stretched out, and one night we were out and it flew off. So he found it, but then where to put it? So lo and behold, it only fit on his left ring finger.
We both liked it there. So it stayed

That was like 3-4 years ago

We both wear wedding rimngs, I origianlly had bought us a matching set, Well I lost my Wedding band at the gym
I had insured hers not mine

I replaced mine with a TUNGSTEN CARBIDE Black Ice wedding band. Tugnsten is the Strongest non Alloy metal on Earth
( 9 on MOHS scale of hardness) It is not very flashy no diamonds , but is very rugged and will never scratch.
I have gotten more compliments on this ring than my other one that cost me 3x as much.
I still take it off before going to Work out but I leave it at home.

Hi Everyone,
Good luck on your immigration journeys. What an interesting message thread, indeed. In answer to the message thread, my response is:
In regards to my situation for the wedding rings: I wear my wedding ring and my engagement ring on my hand (switching fingers from time to time, due to weight loss and extreme hot/cold climate change that affects finger sizing). This shows the love that my husband and I share together. My husband also wears his wedding ring on his hand too. The funny thing is that the wedding rings that we wear now are not the original ones that we used at the wedding ceremony, as we had to get those ones replaced (that's another long story).
But in the end it doesn't matter where one wears the ring though (or if they wear a ring at all), as a ring is merely a symbol of love, not of the actual love that married people really have for each other.

We had custom rings made for the Scripture verse we chose to be the cornerstone our marriage: John 15:5. White and yellow gold grapevine with no beginning or end, and three clusters of grapes, one of eac hour of combined children.
We wear our rings on our right hands.... David's idea. He didn't want these rings to simply be a replacement for the ones we used to wear. Very sentimental, my man is.

We're also getting his interview date engraved on the inside for two reasons - 1, because we have no idea what our wedding date would be anyways, and we want it engraved in Paris, and 2, because his interview date is the first day of spring, and new life, and it will be the start of our new life together.

We both do, and it was very important to us that they be identical (except his is slightly wider). Unfortunately his is only ¾-size bigger than mine so I sometimes put his on by mistake without realizing (mine doesn't fit on his finger though).
I also wear an engagement ring ... which is not the ring I wore when we got engaged ... it was an heirloom we'd wanted to get reset but couldn't afford to (since we were paying for immigration!) so we got it reset about a year and a half after the wedding. He designed it and it matches the wedding band.

I carried my mother's wedding band with me to the Philippines for Kathlene and then I bought my band there so her ring is from America and my ring is from the Philippines.

I had a White Gold band before it looked ok, but kind of plain and un-original.
Also Gold is Soft & Scratches easily. Tugnsten Looks nice/sharp and is Scratch proof. It is so strong that Tungsten Rings come with an ALert card for Medical professionals on how tro remove it, as it cant be cut using certain Surgical intruments.

We will both be wearing wedding bands once we are married.
In fact, I was just looking at them today. Sad story is that when I went to the jeweler, it was to get my engagement ring setting changed to the setting it SHOULD have been originally. When I got it back after the work was done.... I noticed that they chipped my diamond. I'm so mad. Now I have to wait up to 4 weeks to get a replacement back. Makes me rethink about getting my wedding bands there. Too bad, because I saw the wedding band that I want.

We'll both wear wedding rings.
I wear my engagement ring all the time; I don't even take it off to sleep. It was for this purpose that I didn't want a prong setting; all of the stones in the ring are set flush so they can't catch on anything.

We will both wear them. I bought his in December when I went to visit and he bought mine in January. I haven't seen my wedding band yet (Eric wont let me see it, until our wedding day). All I know its that it has ascher cut diamonds that match my engagement ring,
I can't wait for us to wear them!
