Well, with my new temporary EAD in hand, I started full-time employment a couple of weeks ago for a homeless shelter here. (My year-long EAD arrived yesterday.) I am overseeing 2 houses for people with mental health problems - not dissimilar to work I had done in London. It's a good program. The staff are formerly homeless residents and part of my job will be to train then manage them. My first pay cheque was paid into the bank last weekend - a very good feeling to have income again after about 8 months. I was approved for a store card (Target) on Saturday, so with my secured credit card, I'm slowly climbing back up the good credit ladder. I'm still trying to learn to drive and hope to be fully mobile in a couple of months. My AOS biometrics have been completed and I am awaiting that interview in maybe a couple of months or so. And Laura and I are celebrating 6 months of glorious marriage in just over a week.
I hope to still pop in and join the fun when I can. Thanks to everyone who has helped us on this journey so far. Good Luck to you in your's.
Steve and Laura.
