Greetings,

Currently I'm a graduate student living on savings and part time work, but am below the income requirements support wise for my wife coming in on a K3 (I graduate at semester's end and income won't be a problem). My mother has stated her willingness to sponsor us financially, however, I do not live at the same address as she does and as a couple my wife and I would not live at that address. Is that problematic?

Your mother can sponsor your wife, yes, regardless of whether you are living with her or not.

That's good to know.

Now, last bit of confusion - the embassy uses the I-134. Unlike the I-864 where there's an I-864a for a sponsor to fill out, I don't see and equivalent form for use when the I-134 is required. In my situation, what would that mean? That my mother acting as the sponsor fill out I-134 and send it and I send nothing?

That's exactly right. You're going to make Aussie so proud for getting that concept on the first go 'round. Way to go! smile.gif
