Thanks

Hope that helps, I just googled 'Louisiana Driver's License'

you are able to drive on your current licence for 3-6 months (i got different answers from the DMV and the local sheriff's). you will have to do the written & driving test to get your LA license and you will need an EAD or GC in order to do that. you might get lucky and find a DMV employee that will do it with a NOA1 for your AOS though.

tests were easy peasy. the handbook is online as well http://expresslane.org/

good luck.

I would phone your local DMV and ask them, don't even trust the web site they are misleading.

The Oregon DMV web site implied I had 30 days to get a licence but when I called and asked them if I had understood it correctly they told me British licences were OK to use for 12 months. That saved me having to rush around and I drove for about 10 weeks on the UK one.
