I noticed there are threads for filers in certain months but I don't see a March one yet, and it is March 1st! Our I-129F petition is going to be sent in in a few days so I guess we are March filers! It took us a month to get everything together and we are just about ready to file. smile.gif I'm hearing that since we're going through Vermont our waiting time will probably be quicker than most, but I did read something else on the USCIS web-site (it said something about the processing time for people who filed in March not getting the visa until August 21, so we were thinking I'd get it in late August or September - though I do hope we get it earlier!!) and though I think you guys are probably right, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. BTW, I am from Ottawa and he is in New Jersey. (Why is the spelling for the Ottawa consulate wrong - Ottawa is not spelled Ottowa! ;-))

Welcome March filers! kicking.gif Since you will file at VSC, you can expect a faster and quicker processing than most of us at CSC. Our case took 73 days before we got the approval and I've seen others from Vermont getting approved in 2-3 weeks. Consider yourself lucky because you won't be suffering too long good.gif good.gif good.gif

Good luck on your journey!

Pay no mind to the uscis processing dates, they aren't nearly as accurate as the ones on this site. I don't know what's up with the spelling, they spelt manila and philippines wrong too.
JoeMama
I guess I am a March filier. My I-129F was received at CSC on March 1st. I was wondering where there was a March-filier thread on here also wink.gif
phila
I believe I will be a March filer as well! I just sent the I-129F yesterday smile.gif

2-3 weeks?! Is that the NOA1 or NOA2?! Wow. Hope ours is that quick if the NOA2! That would be awesome, but the NOA1 would be just as good.

I wonder how come they don't change them then. Well, that's exciting. I guess I might have to change my plans for working just in case I can't - I had plans to work for a week and a half or so in May.
msu17
Dont forget to factor in the time at NVC and the embassy/consulate with your work plans!!! Dont know how fast Canada is, but in the UK its another 3 months or so after the NOA2. And yes, 2-3 weeks at Vermont for NOA2 you lucky filer you! The USCIS website just posts the last few files they are working on to CYA.

VSC is incredibly fast for most. Some have 7 days, some 14, hopefully ours will come next week! If we are lucky smile.gif

Hi all, I guess I will be a March flier also... allbeit later towards month end hopefully. Still gathering required docs... almost there!

Hi Fellow March Filers,
My journey is just starting now. After lurking on this website for 3 weeks I finally sent my I-129F to VSC on Saturday March 3rd, 2007 via USPS Express Mail. It will hopefully be received by the Service Center Monday to kick start the entire process. I cannot wait to receive my NOA1 in a week or so and my NOA2 by the end of March (if all goes smoothly according to the timeline of previous VSC filers). I've received some very valuable information from VJ and this site has given me the comfort level to go into this process without any fear. Good luck to all the K1 petitioners.

I see March filers are starting to gather here... good.gif Good luck to all of you! Hope your journey will go smoothly and quickly! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Ditto! I guess I will soon be a March filer as well. I am just waiting for the Biometric 325A form to be sent back from my fiance. Hopefully, it will be another couple weeks. I am excited to have found this site. It has helped me so much because if it wasn't for this I would have left out a lot of stuff. Thanks VJ admin! smile.gif

Hello everyone! smile.gif

I'm going to be a March filer, also. I just got back from my first visit with my fiance a month ago. I will be filing the petition on March 7th. I'm so excited, but we are going through California, so I wont be too excited about that. Good luck to everyone!
~Chad~
Congrats and good luck you guys!!! good.gif

Good Luck March filers!

Hello fellow March filers,

I thought I would be a Feb filer, but just received my NOA1 in the mail today and my notice date is March 1. When I look on the USCIS website, it says Feb 28, but I guess this makes me a March filer. Good luck to us all and hope we are re-united with our better half soon enough.

CardiffIan
Hurray, we're March filers too! My fiance just posted off the I-129F today. I've just managed to get a 6 month extension on my contract at work, so i'm hoping the whole process doesn't take longer than that - but i guess we'll be processed via California too.

My fiance called me early this morning and said that he still didn't receive the G325a Biometric forms I sent almost 3 weeks ago! It usually takes 10 days for mail to get there in West Africa. Shucks! He said that he would try the post office again on Thursday and see.
LovinLiberia
I worked all day to finish assembling the packet. Kinko's stole every bit of my $25 making all of those copies. mad.gif ranting33va.gif Anyway, I'm glad to be finished with that packet. geez, it got pretty thick. First thing in the morning, I'm off to the post office. Woohoo!

My check cleared on March 9th and I was able to get my case number on the back via my online banking. Now is the start of the online tracking game. NOA1 is dated March 6th. I hope for a speedy VSC type processing of the K1 barring any RFE. Cannot wait to receive those sweet 3 NOA2 emails in my inbox. Will you guys posted. Good luck to all.

I guess I qualify as a March Filer also. My NOA1 was received on March 1st. Glad we have our own thread now. I am hoping to have my fiancee' here by late summer. Wow, that seems so far away! Want it be nice to finally have the "process" finished; no more emails, no more chatting, and no more huge long distance bills. smile.gif

Good luck everyone!

Another March filer going through Vermont tongue.gif
Good luck everyone and wishing us all no RFE'S devil.gif

Where did you read that march filers will get their visa no earlier than August 21?
Mel_and_Daniel
Well, we'll be filing next week at the NSC office. I'm hoping that everything goes through by the end of August as we've planned our ceremony for September. We have actually planned for a delay since we only plan to have a non legal ceremony outside the US for the sake of our families. And then when everything goes through, we'll have the legal ceremony done in the US. Good luck to all of you guys!!!

Be careful with making plans ahead of time. There are plenty of topics where people have scheduled their wedding and etc and their papers didn't go through on time and they had to cancel everything loosing a lot of their deposits. Don't try to plan until the visa in hands already. Just a suggestion.
I ALWAYS plan things ahead of time but thanks to this site I learned not to plan ahead with something like that because if i had scheduled a wedding and my SO wouldn't come here on time and I had a delay and rescheduled everything that would softly kill me inside. Enough of the VISA headache, i wouldn't want to get another one on top by rescheduling something important as a wedding.
Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean. This is why we plan to have a non legal ceremony outside the US regardless of the process. The only way these plans could be upset is if I get my interview date on the exact date that we've made our plans for. And since the embassy serving my location doesn't open on Saturdays, I think we're pretty safe. Thanks anyway... and good luck...
Mel_and_Daniel
Hey... I just realised...
Today is Sunday, so we'll actually be filing this week.
I feel so excited!!!

hehe, I'm looking forward to not having to pay long distance anymore, too! But I'm not looking forward to the huge AOS bills...

I know exactly how you feel about the emails, chatting, and bills. My fiance and I have to talk several times a day and it is killing both of us. I never want to see another phone card ever again after he gets here!!! The worst part is hearing "you have one minute remaining!" mad.gif it'll be so nice to have endless conversations, lol. I hope he will be here also by later summer even though I am not counting on it. Good luck to everyone! good.gif
discerned1
yep, I know how you all exactly feel about the phone card bizness! Sometimes they are total rip offs. The card says 50 mintues, but you only get to talk for 30! The background noise is such a nuisance as well, especially if they are talking from a cell... you just want to scream. There is already slightly a language barrier between the two, then you have to speak and listen through the noisy static and train whistles too... Ai yi yi! blink.gif

That just means they have received your packet, and it is heading onto the next step. It is your NOA1.

Hello all,
I'm guessing I'm in the March boat too !!!
I sent the I-129F package the other day, I think my lovely bride to be,has a permanent smile now.
We are so happy!
We have been reading the different time lines here and on the Gov. site, a short waiting period would be great, but we're being real about it.
We figure 6 to 8 months for the entire process.
If we're wrong we hope it's for over estimation.

ME!

Count me in for March. I've got it all prepared to go out on 3/07/07. My fiance is the US until April. I am so happy I found this site. I would've made a ton of mistakes if I hadn't come across it.

You need to get your receipt # from your NOA1 (or cancelled check) and go to the USCIS web site. Register, plug that name in and every time the date changes it means it was "touched".
moco(n)ta
michael filed at Vermont last week too, i feel so much better after reading this board coz i read the processing times at the web page of USCIS and i got so bump down, anyways i'm looking forward to read your good news becuase that might mean that mine are near too.

my fiance lives really near to the vermont office so when he went there to leave the I-129f they told him that they may ask for more proof of our relantionship and they gave him a list, "MAY" IS THE KEYWORD... do anybody know how probable it is that they'll ask for it, because i'll have to mail it a.s.p. and peruvian postal service is slow, really slow.

MARCH FILERS ROCK!

DA BOMB
Hello my fellow March filers. Here's my resolutions: I'm going to pretend I dont have a petition in the works and I wont gawk at the USCIS site every 5 minutes looking for the prize. Instead I'm going to do something productive to actually make the time pass by. Needlepoint anyone? WHERES MY DAMN RECEIPT NUMBER! ARGH!
