I emailed Mel the K3 guide and the list of stuff to start getting ready when our 129F is approved.

He doesn't have copies of the entire I 130 package we sent. He has a copy of the cheque, he has the approved I 130. He doesn't recall making copies of the package. At that time we had only just begun the process and really didn't know much about it, and what exactly to do.

What should we do?

I'm waiting to get a hold of him, I'm hoping he has it stored in his computer. We filled out all the forms that way.

If he doesn't have copies stored, what can you do?

The copies are for your benefit in the rare event they get lost in processing...keep your fingers crossed, most likely everything will be fine...

He does have the filled out G 325A forms saved.

I looked at the list of what the I 130 is. Most of it is easy enough- the Birth and Divorce Certificates, the G 325A.

The actual I 130 form I couldn't open on the USCIS site, it came up as a white screen. I guess best we can do is get it downloaded and fill it out. I don't remember the exact dates we filled it out and filed it.

Yeah always have backups and copies of everything and put them all in the same place of everything you send out. Over the years you will have quite a lot, so start organizing them now. I would forget in my process, or I'd copy them and put them somewhere and forget etc. All the way up to my naturalization interview, I only had bits and pieces etc. Having good copies of reciepts, bills etc I used in early applications really would have made my life a hell of a lot easier as I could just re-photocopy some of the documents.

Many of the future forms, you will need to re-submit much of the same information, so having a good file cabnit with all the stuff in it, will really make things much easier and faster to find to recopy when needed. Plus if something gets lost, then this will really make life easier.

Take it from me, don't do what I did, it was frustrating as hell...
