Ok guys so i'm a bit scared, on the 15 of August 06, i filed an i-601 waiver along with a motion to reopen my case due to the fact that my lawyer didn't file one on my behalf. my story goes like this i went in for adjustment back in 98' case was denied because i was arrested twice for shoplifting( no jail time, charged with disdemeaner). my lawyer then filed a motion to open to case without doing a waiver,the case was denied again after waiting fo six years, on 15 August 06 my son help me to writing a waiver and then my lawyer open the case again. After getting in from work today I got a letter stating that i have to in for an interview.

my question is does anyone think that our waiver was approve, we have not heard anything about the waiver which was filed at 26 federal plaza.

what if my waiver is not yet fully process,will i be denied again i hear that in country waiver takes along time. it will be 7 months next month.

Please help me if you can, and keep me in your prayers.

I think it's normal for an in country waiver to take at least 12 months. What did your lawyer say about the reasoning for the interview or what you should expect?

well my lawyer didn't get a letter, he was letting me that we might have to write a hardship letter. I'm was shocked because i've already wrote one, and awaiting the result... he had no clue what he was saying to me. I just shook my head and pretented that he was talking out of his ###.

What is the reason for the interview? After waivers are submitted, there normally are no more interviews. Either it is approved or denied and they inform you via mail. Since only 7 months have passed, it's unlikely that the interview has anything to do with your waiver.

You need to know why they are requesting an interview BEFORE you go -- you don't want to walk into a trap, meaning immediate deportation. Have you had a consultation with Laurel Scott? I would highly recommend it. www.visacentral.net

do you real think it's a trap, beside filing the motion we also filed another i-485 application. now i'm scared because i get thought about them laying a trap for me.

It's possible - it has happened. Get the lawyer to find out WHY you are having an interview. Waivers do not have interviews after they are submitted.
