Do I still need to file an affidavit of support(I864) for my fiance if we have no children. If I do have to file one, how would I go about finding if I am above, at or below the 125% poverty level.

Second question, can my fiance schedule an interview before I do all the filing for the k1?

Thanks in advance.

If you are below the poverty level your fiance will need another sponsor. If we could schedule interviews before we file I would schedule mine for next week. smile.gif

Haha! I figured as much anyway. I just thought I'd ask that crazy question regarding the interview. Anyway, how do I go about finding out if I am above or below poverty level. Is the affidavit just for people with children?

The Affidavit is for everyone filing for the fiancee visa....here is some info for the povertry level for 2007, if you do not meet the income requirements, then you would need to have a co-sponsor. Please copy and paste the following info: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ost&id=3585

No you don't need form I864 at all.

And the poverty level has nothing to do with it either.
