Hi everyone,
I am so frustrated by USCIS. My mom entered the US on Immigrant visa on Dec.1, 2006. As of today she hasnot received her welcome notice, nor did she receive her GC(possibly because I changed my address, which I have reported USCIS accordingly). I call USCIS, but they never give an straight answer as to why exactly she hasnt rceived the welcome notice, and what she need to do at this point. Does anyone know or have any experience with this? What if she needs to travel abroad?

Thanks

How about setting up an Infopass appointment?

Did your mom get the I-551 stamp at the airport? That's the temporary GC stamp and she can travel abroad with that as long she completes the trip before the expiration date indicated on it.
