Hey everyone -
When I send an e-mail to the Montreal consulate (case number in subject), I don't receive a response. Do you think they just hate me cause I've bothered them with calls a few times already?
Anyone have similar experiences?
Thanks!

are you sending your emails to: Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov ? I'm not sure if those caps matter or not, but I make sure the caps are there when I've emailed them.
They usually respond to me by the end of the following business day. However, my FI emailed them this past thursday and has not heard back yet.
Has this happened to you multiple times?

I e-mailed them around December, probably once a week for a month, and never heard anything back either. I wouldn't take it personally. I had to call eventually and got confirmation on my interview date. Never heard a peep back from my e-mails. I also double checked the e-mail address each time.

They were horrible answering my emails. The only time they answered them was when Vancouver sent them mail and cc'd me!

ok so this leaves me scratching my head. why do some people (ie: me) get a response within 30 hours, and others get no response at all. do the CAPS matter in email addresses?? I never thought they did. when i compose my messages to the consulate, they are usually no more than 2 sentences AND at the top of the message body, I put (in bold) my MTL number, full name, and K1. maybe it's message length? keep it short and simple? I dunno .. maybe you guys are doing this. it's a mystery to me..

I found that when they had an answer for me right away, I heard from them right away. The one time I asked a question about the schedule and a possible expedite, I didn't hear from them until a week later when they had my interview date.

i actually went so far as to ask a VJ'er for their exact wording (someone who did get a quick reply back), and I went and copied and pasted it word for word, and then sent that.. but to no go.. I never tried another e-mail address though.. so maybe it doesn't like some forms of e-mail address.. who knows?

I mean... I'm just very confused right now because there's suddenly this tremendous delay in getting an interview. If this was the case, I would've asked for a transfer to Vancouver in the first month. It's just pretty disconcerting at this point *sigh*

I have but they never give me a concrete interview date... just that I'm still on the waiting list.

Nic, I know you have been posting about this for a while, but exactly how long have you been waiting. I don't know if you don't have a timeline or if the link is jsut screwy.

Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov
sent 3 e-mails got my answers within 24 hours everytime. I sent them always in the evening and in fact 2 of my e-mails were answered the next morning before 10 am.
i just did copy and paste from the embassy info section with Mtl's address.
I dont get why they would answer some people and not others. I used a Hotmail account as well.

Sorry I've been meaning to fill it out, but my checklist was returned to them on Nov. 5th. The reason I'm worried is because the original timeline I received was Feb/Mar. I made plans around this timeline, but now they are pushing it to Mar/Apr, and to be fairly honest, there seems to be a big lull in K-1 interviews. It's making me nervous because if it becomes a late Apr scenario, then a lot of my original plans and family plans from overseas will need to be moved. Apologies for sounding distressed, but it's just getting very close.

We're on the same timeline as you Nic........returned the checklist on Nov 6. Each reply from Montreal is the same......" you're still on the waiting list". Hubby emailed again yesterday and is yet to get a response but I will certainly post if and when he does.
Wish i had more to offer other than we're in this with ya........
I again looked at the timelines and there are like 15 k-1 and k-3's still needing interviews that returned checklists from Aug - Dec 31.........3 from London 3 from China 3 various and 7 Montreal if we include you, AlanandSharon and EmilyRugBurn ( who also don't have a timeline done btw

)
Anyway....

Seems like they are plain ignoring the K3s as well.

You're the USC right? I wonder if you should call on his behalf and see if you can get any info or an interview date... My husband (USC) was going to do that for me at one point.
