Chas got his police certificate in the mail today, and should have his renewed passport shortly (he got the old one back on Tuesday).

Now if we'd ever get that NOA2....!

Thanks, featherb! I guess I just sent my petition in on the 'wrong week' or something, and ended up in the slow lane. Not much I can do about it now, except wait some more. But to look online and not even see any movement since 11/27 is disheartening. I think I'm just going to stop looking at it.

I am glad you guys are ready for the next steps of this long and drawn out process!!! At least you know that someone is working on your case, if not USCIS! I keep looking for your NOA2 everyday!! I really hope it will be here for you soon! C'mon CSC - fork over that NOA2!!!!

I think that is what is so frustrating - knowing that things generally pick up speed once you get to the consulate - we just can't seem to get there!

But I'll betcha all the UKers good mojo will help us in the next few days.

We didn't have any touches for ages either. However, we were caught up in the IMBRA fiasco so our timeline doesn't really apply to current dates.

I guess my point is...don't be disheartened. Every day that passes is a day nearer to the NOA2.

^^ aww thanks so much! I know you really only go from one set of waiting to the next - but it just seems like the NOA2 is a big hurdle (in a long stretch of hurdles). I'm ready to stretch my legs and launch onto the next thing, ya know? I'm just tired of worrying about where the petition approval is.

I know what you mean... I got sick of obsessing about 'when will we get approved?' and wanted to be able to get on with obsessing about something else!

And I agree with Bethanie... Fridays are good news days. At least, they were in our case - I went out with friends, came back pretty late, and found we'd (finally) had a touch, for the first time since NOA1. Then woke up on Saturday morning to find the CRIS email had been sent during the night. Yup, Fridays are good... hoping today turns out to be your day!

I too check to see if you (or fwaaguy) have gotten your NOA2's every time I log on. I'm sure we'll all hear the whoop of joy when they come through!
You are very correct that from here...things speed up. Even with the President's Day holiday and the blizzard back on the East coast....our petition made it in and out of NVC in a week. Good for you that you're lining up the pieces you'll need for the next "leg". Could be that we'll end up interviewing on the same day!! It'd sure be nice to have another VJ-er there to chat with!

You guys are all so great - checking on both me and fwaguy daily. He and I have become good pals during this process so far. I'm encouraged that he got touched Tuesday - I hope it turns into his NOA2, and that mine is just a few petitions below his in the stack.

BTW it only took 10 days for my darling fiance to get the police certificate...!

I hope it does not expire by the time we get our approval....

Why you wait so long for visa? Some peoples on this site tell me I need only 15 days and my man to give my I-134 for fiancee visa in Indonesia. can you move to Indonesia? Also, my english not so good. I look up shitake in my dictionary and it say type of mushroom. Why you say no mushroom?

I certainly remember checking the site daily 2 or 3 times to see if we had been touched. It can drive you crazy !

My police certificate took AGES to come through, so long I was waiting on it to send to the embassy to get my interview! Stupid thing.
But yours came quick and the NOA2 is taking ages.

Maybe the gods got confused and made the NOA2 take ages and the police certificate fast?

I was really surprised he got it that fast, too. We expected it to take the full 40 days, hence him ordering it sort of early.

I don't stop in here as much as I used to but I'm glad to see that you are progressing on your own visa journey after supporting so many others through theirs. Once that NOA2 arrives your feet will hardly touch the ground and before you know it Chas will be arriving in the good ol US of A.
