I got back home on January 12, 2007 and I still haven't receive the GC in the mail...Any idea how long it takes? How long is too long? Should I be worried?

Back in 2005 I got mine in around a months time! seems to be around 4-7 weeks on avg from VJ readings.

Claudeth got hers about a week after the approval notice.

I wonder if it's different for AOS....

I would definitely not be freaking out, the stamp in your passport is all you need for now, you're okay Maybe after 6 or 8 weeks you could call & check into it, but don't worry too much

If I remember correctly my original GC came about a month after the interview and my 10 year GC came I think about 2 months later or something. All depends though on where you filed, how busy they are and so on. I'd say if you don't hear anything after 6 months get an INFOPASS appointment and get them to check it out.

Or you might actually be able to find out by calling them off the www.uscis.gov website if you have your reciept number...
