Heya all. I recently got the DS-230 packet from NVC. Do we now have to submit all the supporting docs (NBI, Police Record, Marriage Cert etc) with it back to NVC? I think thats a rcent change?

Yes, you need to submit Birth Cert., Marriage Cert., Police & NBI Clearance, Photocopy of Applicants Passport Bio Page.

Better check with the Embassy especially concerning the Police Clearances because the Philippines is "special" - which means that they have made it more difficult for Filipinos. For example, notarizations from any Filipino Attorney will no longer be accepted as of this year.

Dot all the "I"s and cross all the "t"s.
Which is exactly what I am doing now.

Check out randynrose's profile, he's made a profile with an overview of the process for the Philippines.

Hi,

Yes you must submit all the supporting documents!! In your ds-230 packet you should full instructions as to what they are requesting for the Philippines. You must submit ORIGINALS or certified copies, except for the passport bio page (a copy is all thats needed). Your spouse must sign the ds-230 part 1 (do not sign part 2). The embassy will return all original documents at the interview.

Fortunately for Mai and I, we had prepared those documents and obtained them in advance. It's all sent off now smile.gif Thanks for your help!
