We are waiting for the arrival of Packet 3 and are wondering about some of the aspects of the next phase of our journey.
1. When you phone up to schedule your medical, do they give you various date & time choices or do you just get next available?
2. Looking at UK timelines, the time between receipt of Packet 4 and Interview seems to vary widely. For example, one couple received their Packet 4 on Jan. 30 and the Interview was Feb. 5 but another couple received their Packet 4 on Jan. 31 and the Interview is on March 26. Does we have some control over or input into Interview dates? Can we get an interview quickly?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

When I called for mine they gave me the next available time but it wasn't good for me so I got the next slot and it was about 2 weeks later I got the appointment.
My interview came through really quickly, you can't do anything to help it, it just depends!
Good luck

There are of course no guarantees, but lately they have seemed to be on the ball with scheduling interviews and getting p4s out the door. (Yay!) Anyways, I've read about people definitely putting in a date for a wedding, pretty soon, just not too crazy, you know? Also, a cover letter explaining the situation, if you need something a lot quicker, or have had a delay of some sort which has thrown off your wedding date. I told my fiance to put a date, but he just put "when Visa is received", I believe. So hopefully we don't have to be waiting forever. (I think I'll be calling the State Dept in the morning to find out any new info though!)
Good Luck!

We didn't put a date for travel/wedding, and our interview was scheduled fairly promptly.

I had a date for the wedding and I put it on all the paperwork, seemed to work ok for me.
