Do you love it? or do you hate it?


Me personally, looooove it! cost so much for a tiny jar, $6.50 at Stop and Shop! I get my family to send me nice big jars! can't live without the stuff!

I'm the USC, and I can't bring myself to taste it, but my guy LURVES it (especially on toast)!

Awww absolutely on toast, Bagels, my husband USC loves it! I sent him some before we met in person and loved the stuff instantly, he got hooked!

Is so true though, you either love it or hate it, lol

where can I get it,??? Ive seen marmite around too, but its just not the same!

Hmmm, I don't think I've seen any Vegemite around, I think I may have seen in one time, can't remember where though, any websites you can get it from? but I know they ain't cheap.

guess its time to hit on the family for a care package!. Vegemite comes now in soft plastic travel tubes..
I saw Marmite in the Virgin mega store in Times SQ, a year back, they have a Brit food section. It was over $7 a jar!

this looks like the answer to all your prayers (it also does vegemite though out of stock at the moment). Prices look pretty good from what I remeber it wasn't cheap in UK so with shipping this is probably cheaper than getting it shipped over (big jars too and bulk buy)

I just bought a jar of Marmite today, I love the stuff. I'm not in the US yet, will have to ask Tommy if they sell it there in SC or not...hmm...

Oh...just a personal opinion, obviously. M. Btw, Craig lovesss the stuff and we have two huge containers in our cupboard. To be perfectly honest, I probably haven't given it a fair shake as I had the tiniest possible nibble of a piece of toast one time that was spread *very*thinly with marmite.... Everything about it is just gross to me....Craig says the same though...adverts in England even talk about how you either love it or hate it.... M.

I brought a jar over with me, my hubby tried it and he spent the next ten minutes over the sink making "uuurrrgghhh" noises.

I guess that means he hates it, huh?

Haha... I made Casey try it last year, as I'd been trying for months to describe it to him but it's impossible to explain Marmite to someone who's never had it. We had Marmitey crumpets, and I was fully expecting him to screw his face up in disgust and be mightily unimpressed... but he was so taken with it that he ended up taking about 6 jars back with him, and trying to give some of his friends & family the mini-jars as gifts. Their reaction was apparently more of the 'urrrrgggghhhh, that's revolting' variety - so he now has all those mini Marmite jars in his desk at work to eat on bagels (hm, can't say I've ever had Marmite on a bagel, but each to their own!) and disgust his colleagues.

I'll be taking lots with me... at least two of the big jars. I know I can rely on my Mum to keep me well supplied with the stuff - I can imagine she'll go a bit overboard though, and I'll have to tell her I don't really need a giant jar sending every fortnight!
