Why are threads being locked without explanation? What was wrong with Aqoul's thread?

I was just gonna ask the same thing myself!

I didn't even notice that one. Fed Ex must have complained.

Surely it was a mistake that it was locked.

It would be really nice if the person who locked the thread gave an explanation why when they locked it - ie for Ewok's review, for violated ___ tos, at request of OP, etc.

Don't hold your breath. I don't think what *we* want is really of any consequence. We're on the sh!t list.

You can go through USPS and still get a signature. They partner with FedEx and charge much less when yu do not require a quick delivery. Something like Global priority?

I tried Global priority once. They charged me $45 and held my documents hostage in France for a month. I couldn't even track it coz no one knew where it was, just somewhere in France.

global express priority worked for me last month. i guess its hit and miss. scary to risk something so important like that. AND spend a lot doing so.

I have a comment on DHL, I think they are fine if you just mail to a big city like Rabat or Casa, but if your SO lives somewhere other than that, they use a local service like Amana (sp?) service and then you're at the mercy of them. I DHLed Hassan some papers for his interview, it took them 2 weeks!!! I could have mailed it in that time easy, and not paid the 138 dollars it cost with DHL. I ended up getting a refund, and it didn't hurt us any because we had plenty of time left, but for the ones that have to have their papers there, be careful!!

thanks for all opinions and answers, i have time, so rather than pay over 100. (cost was 40.)i just sent regular thru post office. So far other than the long delivery we have done fine, so hopefully this will be no different. THere was DHL office in Safi, in an emergency i will try them.

When my husband's parents lived in Sale, I could mail stuff to him there and he got it in no time. Now, they're all in backwater Kenitra, and the mail delivery sux wind. Nothing takes less than 3 weeks to get to him. If it's time sensitive and can be faxed or sent via Adobe, we're sending things that way now.
